The Edmonton Metropolitan Orchestra

Edmonton, AB, Canada, March 30, 2016

The Edmonton Metropolitan Orchestra proudly presents a family concert, “Tell me a Story”

The Edmonton Metropolitan Orchestra’s final concert of the 2015-2016 season is on Sunday, April 17, and features a warm programme full of wonder and magic. The concert will open with Feliz Mendelssohn’s Symphony no. 5 “Reformation” as a tribute to our host, Concordia University, and its Lutheran roots – a perfect family outing this Spring!

Also experience the timeless tale of the Noonday Witch, crafted as a symphonic poem by Bohemian composer Antonin Dvorak. We will also feature one of the most beloved bedtime stories of all time, Hansel and Gretel, immortalized in music by German composer Engelbert Humperdinck.

Other highlights include Norwegian composer Edward Grieg’s incidental music for Henrik Ibsen’s play Peer Gynt, featuring guest conductor Petar Dundjerski and The Singing Strings of the Music Enrichment Program.
